About Dr. Liz Berney
Liz Berney, Ph.D. is a trainer, organizational psychologist, business consultant, speaker and coach. She has a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, all in psychology. Her mission is to help women lead empowered and impassioned lives. She has provided staff and management training as well as facilitated personal development workshops for over twenty years. As a former dancer, she struggled for many years with bulimia and now incorporates in background in dance and psychology to help others learn to enjoy both food and their bodies. She also incorporates her intensive training from Christen McCormack and Candy Danzis in spiritual development to her work.
Lizs 20 years of experience providing training, speaking and coaching in the business world includes working with clients including: Gates Foundation, Coca Cola, Marriott, Fannie Mae, Tropicana, Quaker Oats, Dun & Bradstreet as well as many national associations, private hospitals, universities and government agencies. She won the Teaching Excellence Award for her undergraduate teaching at the University of Maryland and consistently received outstanding evaluations for her graduate teaching at George Mason at in her training and consulting in the business world. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland, Georgetown University and George Washington University as well as the former Co-Founder and Director of the Organization Development Certificate Program at Georgetown University.
